Michele is a graduate of New England School of Acupuncture, which she chose for its rigorous academics and specialization in Japanese acupuncture. She earned a degree of masters in acupuncture and oriental medicine, with a specialization in Chinese herbs and Japanese acupuncture. She is the recipient of the 2013 Mayway Master's scholarship for students of herbal medicine, read her essay about the safety and efficacy of chinese herbs here. She is nationally board certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and licensed in the state of VT. Michele has taken numerous continuing education workshops in herbal medicine and gentle, non-insertive acupuncture techniques including pediatrics (Shoni Hari style with Masanori Tanioka), Shakuju with Shoji Kobayashi, magnets (Kazuto Miyawaki), and has completed 2 years of assisting and a 6 month certificate program in Hari style traditional Japanese acupuncture with Koei Kuwahara. She has completed 4 years of post-graduate study in Chinese herbs with Sharon Weizenbaum. Michele has completed a certificate course in Chinese Herbal Dermatology with Mazin Al-Khafaji and is a member of the International TCM Dermatology Association. She is also certified in traditional acupuncture facial rejuvenation.
Michele came to acupuncture school from a background of massage and yoga instruction; while teaching yoga full time and working long shifts doing massage she received acupuncture to effectively treat repetitive stress injuries. Michele has been interested in health care since learning Reiki in 2001, leading to a growing interest in complementary and herbal medicine. She became a Reiki master and began teaching in 2002, while a student at Goddard college. After graduating, Michele became certified as a yoga teacher (Kripalu 2005) and a massage therapist (Ashland institute of Massage, 2006). She is dedicated to providing high quality oriental medicine, and the education to allow patients to make informed decisions about their health

Aubrey has over 25 years of experience as a massage therapist. He studied Zen Shiatsu with Kiku Zutrau-Miyazaki, co-founder of the AOBTA ( American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia) in a 2 year program at Boston Shiatsu School. He practiced in VT and Cape Cod after graduating, and was invited to the AOBTA conference in 2000, to assist Ryokyu Endo, keynote presenter and founder of Tao Shiatsu. He continued to study Tao Shiatsu and Aikido in Kyoto, Japan with Endo sensei for 5 years, including workshops in the US, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and Thailand. In addition to specializing in shiatsu, Aubrey also practices Thai massage and La Stone therapy. Aubrey has taught shiatsu at CCV, and continues to enjoy learning, most recently at a thai massage intensive in Chiang Mai, Thailand. He is dedicated to treating each person with empathy as to what they most need to feel balanced and relaxed, helping them to return to a natural state of health.
